About
Dr. Michael Rodney
Doctor of Chiropractic
I graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, practicing since 2000 and loving it!
Family plays an important role in my life. I’m a son, brother, husband and father. I come from a family of male athletes where back injuries are in our genes. My story begins around age 10, witnessing my father’s excruciating back pain resulting from years of practicing Judo and Boxing.

How I Discovered Chiropractic Therapy
My dad, a strong man, was the provider figure in my life. He was the kind of person who never shared his feelings. He never complained about his back pain, but my mother, siblings and I all knew that he was in pain. We all wondered what it would be like to see him cry, but he never did until the day his back gave out on him.
Pain meds were not working which left my mother only one option…get him drunk (my dad wasn’t a drinker, but that’s a story for another time), put him in the car and take him to see a Chiropractor. That was in the early ’80s when Chiropractic wasn’t as popular as it is today.
This Chiropractor heaved over on my father, cracked his back in a few spots; my dad screamed but eventually came out relieved. The Chiropractor didn’t administer any drugs to my father, only physical manipulation, which blew my mind! This doctor was able to restore function to my dad and made a big difference for my family.
That’s when I knew I wanted to become a Chiropractor.
Who are We?
I founded the Madison Sports Injury and Rehabilitation Clinic in 2001 with the vision of helping people live free from pain and enhancing athletic performance.
We all know how awful a life with back pain could be or how frustrating it is to live with a loved one in pain. Our goal is to restore your quality of life and physical well-being as soon as possible.
Our Chiropractic Clinic is located in North York, Yonge and Sheppard area, in the Madison Centre. Our address is 4950 Yonge Street, Concourse Level, Unit 42, North York, Ontario, M2N 6K1.

We Practice What We Preach
Like many of my patients, I’m an athlete at heart and enjoy Jiu-Jitsu, skiing, weight lifting, and snowshoeing/hiking.

Chiropractic care, physiotherapy, naturopathic medicine and massage help me stay on top of my health goals, so yes, I practice what I preach.
How is Our Clinic Different?
Simply put, I care. We care. In our clinic, people should feel valued, heard and cared for.
We won’t tell you that you need orthotics if you don’t need them. We won’t recommend a long treatment protocol if all you need is a few ‘tune-ups.’ We don’t sell health care. We educate you to take better care of yourself. We are your healthcare partners.
- Pushing people in and out the door
- Lying just to make a quick buck
- Emotional manipulation and unethical practices
- We value honesty, integrity and sincerity
As a doctor and business owner, I value long-term relationships where you feel safe coming in yourself or sending a friend or a loved one to our clinic. My clinicians and staff are instructed to provide a high level of care and make everyone that comes into our clinic feel welcome.
Why does this Matter?
You’ll get real empathy, not just empty words.
Pain is vulnerable, raw and messy.
I’ve learned that what you need most when in pain is compassion, understanding and someone to take the time with you.
- When needed, I will call to follow up.
- The environment at our clinic is exceptionally comfortable. You will never feel pushed around by the front desk staff or otherwise.
- We fight for you. When necessary, my administrator or I will phone your insurance company, employer, the government or whoever it is to get you the help you require.
Why are our Patients raving about us?
Since 2001 we’ve served over 15,000 patients and earned numerous 5-star reviews.
I guess people feel the difference and reciprocate with kindness.
Most of our patients are returning visitors who come back for ‘tune-ups’ or athletes who choose to partner with us to optimize their sports performance.
Since the clinic was connected to a gym (Goodlife Fitness – Yonge and Sheppard in North York), many of our patients are athletes.
You don’t have to be an athlete to work with us. We’ve worked with construction workers, lawyers, plumbers, office workers, doctors, nurses, accountants, IT workers, etc. Anyone who experiences acute or chronic pain is welcome as well as anyone who wishes to enhance their athletic performance.
